Rehearsal for the Installation of the new High Sheriff Mr James Carr DL,(which is to take place on 7th April 2010) with Hugh Fitzgerald, Under Sheriff of Cumbria, his Secretary, Kasey Grainger, Christine Child, Assistant Clerk to the Lieutenancy and Mrs Sandra Peacock, Lieutenancy Office.


12.30 - Crown Court
His Hon Judge Batty QC had invited me to present a Court Award for a very public spirited gentleman who brought his 9 year old grandson along to the Ceremony. The Press were there and a very nice photograph appeared in the News and Star.

Judge Batty very kindly invited both my PA, Katy Glass and me for lunch in the Judge's Dining Room. I shall miss these occasions.
